Former British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw yesterday met with Chair and Executive Board Member of Akbank and the Chair of Turkish-British Business Council of Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK) Suzan Sabanci Dincer. Straw, who is also the co-chair of UK-Turkish Forum known as “Tatli Dil” (Sweet Talk), thanked Dincer for her contributions to the events organized as part of the forum and further improvement of relations between the two countries. Dincer said that welfare is one of the most important keys to improve relations between the countries, adding, “We attach great importance to further deepen the relations between Turkey and Britain and other countries as well. Mutual commercial relations constitute the heart of economies. The most important factor delivering blood to these veins is rooted, sincere and sincere relations. Our welfare level increases, as long as we encourage and boost international trade and relations.” Underlining that Straw has been supporting Turkey’s EU membership from the very beginning, Dincer defined Straw as a friend who sees the contributions to be made by a wealthier Turkey which is also integrated with the EU to its region and the entire world.
