Over last 8 years, Turkey sent $4.8 bln in aid to 100 countries

Through its Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA), Ankara has extended $4.8 billion in aid to 100 countries over the past eight years, according to newly released data. Investing in many areas from hospitals to schools, education to transportation, TIKA also brought 30,000 students from these countries to Turkey. Over those eight years, TIKA also boosted the number of countries it is running development and cooperation projects in to 100.
