Turkey-Algeria Business Forum brought together investors from the two countries on Tuesday. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed the forum, pledging support for investments. "Chairmen of the two countries' Central Bank will carry out work about the issue of letter of guarantee, and thus Turkish banks' letters of guarantee will be valid in Algeria. The position of actors directing the economic, commercial and political developments on national and international levels as well as the relations between them are reshaped. We have decided to instruct relative ministers about the Free Trade Agreement and initiate the negotiations. We want to ensure that Algeria attaches more importance to our companies in our investment plans covering the period of 2010-2014. It was also decided that health certificates concerning meat and milk are mutually recognized," Erdogan said, underlining that Turkish Airlines (THY) had been holding mutual Istanbul-Algiers flights once a day, and now they stepped in to increase that to three times a day. For his part, Algerian Prime Minister Abdul Malek Sallal said that Algeria wanted to benefit from Turkey's technological experience and develop better relations between the two countries in the future.
