10th International Turkish Olympiads kick off in Istanbul

The 10th International Turkish Olympiads which was organized by the International Turkish Association (TURKCEDER) kicked off yesterday in Istanbul. The participating students fascinated the audience with colorful performances during the opening ceremony which was attended by prominent figures of politics, arts, sports and business circles. Olympiads' organizing committee chairman Mehmet Saglam said in his opening remarks that the aim of the event was to make Turkish the language of love, friendship and dialogue, as well as the language of world, science and literature.
