300,000 marriages made between Russian and Turkish people in 16 years

Russia, enjoying a significant place in Turkish tourism with four million tourists, has gradually preferred to marry Turkish people. According to a research made by the Russian Association for Education, Culture and Cooperation, 300,000 marriages have been made between Russian and Turkish people in the last 16 years.  Research results also indicate that the majority of those marriages have been solemnized in Russia and thousands of Russian brides have changed their religion to become a Muslim. There are also one million children born out of those marriages, sharing a common culture.
