A private airplane to be sent to Somali for aid purposes
Following the bombed attack which has destroyed Somalia's capital city Mogadishu on Monday, a private airplane will be sent to this country from Turkey. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan yesterday called Somali President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed to express condolences for those who have lost their lives due to the attack. During the phone conversation, it was decided that Turkey would provide 30 injured persons with medical treatment in Turkey. Speaking in his part, Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag said that the attacks were not targeting the work carried out by Turkey, but derived from some disagreements there. Bozdag added that Turkey has collected 504 million TL and sent 17,000 tons of humanitarian aid amounting to 49 million TL on nine planes and seven vessels as part of its support for Somalia.
