Adopted daughter of Ataturk dies in car accident

Ulku Adatepe, the adopted daughter of the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, died in a traffic accident on Wednesday in Akyazi, east of Istanbul, on the TEM highway. Adatepe, 79, died at the scene of the accident. Reportedly, driver of the car, Adnan Selcuk, drove into the side rails, and then to the Sakarya Education and Research Hospital, while Emin Oke Adatepe, her husband, was rushed to another hospital.
