Residents of Transalya village in the African state of Burkina Faso changed the village name to "Turkiye" after Turkey’s Kimse Yok Mu relief association’s aid during the last three Eid al-Adha, or Feast of the Sacrifice, holidays. "Meat obtained from the animals sacrificed is sent to those in need of food in all corners of the world," a statement made by the Kimse Yok Mu relief association said, adding that the residents of Transalya village changed the name of their village to ‘Turkiye’ after the aid extended by them. A Turkish flag was planted at the entrance of village by residents as well.
