After taking in Istanbul's Blue Mosque, Australian FM Rudd set to meet with Davutoglu today
On an official visit to Turkey, Australian Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd yesterday visited Istanbul's Sultan Ahmet Mosque (Blue Mosque), and expressed his admiration for the city's historical attractions. Australian Ambassador to Ankara Ian Biggs and a delegation accompanied Rudd, who is set today to meet with his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu. The two top diplomats are expected to discuss bilateral ties, as well as exchange views on a number of issues of common concern, including regional issues and the G-20. The signing of an action plan to improve bilateral ties between Turkey and Australia is also planned.
