Alarm bells ringing for Syria

The government has warned its officials at border gates with Syria against a possible exodus of Syrians, as clashes between the Assad government and rival forces mounted. Turkey is also concerned that political turmoil in Syria could nurture a safe haven for the terrorist PKK organization.
