Ankara, Baku, Astana to hold joint military drill

The special-purpose units of the Turkish, Azeri and Kazakh armed forces will hold a joint exercise together, Azerbaijani news website News.az reported yesterday. Governmental sources told APA news agency that the exercise, "Anadolu" (Anatolia), was expected to be held this year, at a date to be specified in the near future. The governments of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Kazakhstan plan to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on the terms of support by the host country for holding the exercise soon. Azerbaijan's military attaché in Turkey, Tofig Gasimov, has been empowered to sign the document for the Azerbaijani side.
