Arinc participates in 732nd Ertugrul Gazi commemoration ceremonies
Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc participated in the 732nd Ertugrul Gazi Commemoration Ceremonies and Yuruk Festival held in the Sogut district of Bilecik along with Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahceli and Great Union Party (BBP) leader Mustafa Destici. "Our ancestors settling in this land many many years ago left us the heritages of Oghuz tradition and Islam religion. These two heritages have become the common ground of the Anatolian land. In Islam, there is no exclusion. We display bravery only against tyrants and those who violate law and human rights." Arinc said. Arinc also thanked Bahceli, who said that no one should do politics in the presence of Ertugrul Gazi. In response to a question about the loss of the 2020 Olympics to Tokyo, Arinc stated as follows: "There is not much left to do. Turkey was not chosen to host the 2020 Olympics and we should look into the reasons of not having been chosen. Tokyo's facilities were not better than Istanbul's. However, when it comes to voting, some other considerations can also count."
