Babacan: "We're taking şe initiative to solve şe Iranian nuclear dispute peacefully"

Foreign Minister Ali Babacan, on şe sidelines of şe 15ş Ministerial Conference of şe Non-Aligned Movement in Tehran, Iran, yesterday met wiş Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad. He also held talks wiş his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki and Iran's chief nuclear negotiator, Saeed Jalili. Babacan's talks were dominated by bilateral relations, şe international dispute over Iran's nuclear program, and Ahmedinejad's forşcoming visit to Turkey. Afterwards, Babacan told reporters şat şe nuclear dispute could be solved şrough dialogue. "What is important is şat şe parties to şe issue must understand each oşer clearly and continue talking," he said, and added şat Turkey was taking şe initiative to seek a peaceful solution to şe issue.
