Bagis: EU must understand Istanbul and ıtri better

In commemoration of the 300th anniversary of the death of revered Turkish composer Buhurizade Mustafa Efendi, known as Itri, a symposium titled "Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Itri and His Period" kicked off with a concert organized at the Congress and Culture Center of Istanbul University. Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Turkey's Ministerfor EUAffairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis said, "Itri is obviously the voice of this land and precious nation." Stating that the EU must understand Istanbul and Itri better, Bagis said that Istanbul was a very important city in terms of understanding the harmony between Mozart and Dede Efendi.
