Bagis meets with Assyrian Orthodox deputy Patriarch Cetin

State Minister and chief negotiator for EU talks Egemen Bagis yesterday met in Ankara with Assyrian Orthodox Deputy Patriarch Yusuf Cetin. Afterwards, Bagis told reporters that the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) sees the problems of people with different religions, ethnic origins, and political opinions as its own. Stating that everyone realizes that Turkey has been changing, he said the government's door is always open to every citizen. For his part, Cetin said the Assyrian community works hard for Turkey's European Union membership.
