Investments by and companies owned by Turkish entrepreneurs in Bosnia-Herzegovina are cushioning the country's economic troubles amid the lingering effects of the global crisis. The impact of the crisis is still felt in the country, which also has been unable to establish a central government for the last 10 months. After the economic crisis shook the country in mid-2009, the accounts of thousands of companies were blocked and some 150,000 people lost their jobs, but Turkish investments are helping to soften the blow.
