Bosnian Foreign Minister visits Ankara
Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zlatko Lagumdzija is paying a visit to Turkey upon an invitation by Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu. During his visit, Lagumdzija has been received by President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He also met with Deputy Prime Minister Besir Atalay, head of the Turkey-Bosnia and Herzegovina Joint Economic Commission, and Hakan Cavusoglu, head of the Turkey-Bosnia and Herzegovina Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group. Meeting with Davutoglu on Wednesday, Lagumdzija discussed bilateral relations and regional and international issues with his Turkish counterpart. The Anatolia news agency quoted the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday as saying that both sides anticipated sharing their views on economic and trade cooperation, especially on ways of increasing Turkish investment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. After chairing a conference at a think tank in Ankara, Lagumdzija will be off to Istanbul to take part in a conference titled "From Balkan Wars to Balkan Peace," which will be held on Thursday as part of events marking the 100th anniversary of the First Balkan War. The conference will be hosted by the Foreign Ministry and will be opened by Davutoglu.
