In a joint press conference in London yesterday with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, British Prime Minister David Cameron said that the bilateral relations between Turkey and Britain are now stronger than ever. Cameron praised the role Erdogan and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu play in the region, stressing that Turkey is a model for other nations in terms of stability and democracy. Cameron also said Turkey's bid for European Union membership cannot be denied, adding that Britain will continue to support Turkey's EU accession and a comprehensive solution on Cyprus.
