Chinese FM Yang visits Turkey

Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, who came to Istanbul to attend the Istanbul Forum for Friendship and Cooperation in Heart of Asia, met with President Abdullah Gul on Tuesday. He had a breakfast with his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu. The two top diplomats discussed issues such as energy policies and railroad project which will reach from China to Turkey. Then he proceeded to Ankara, where he was received by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. During the meeting, Yang said that Chinese Premier Jiabao gladly accepted his Turkish counterpart Erdogan’s invitation and he would come to Turkey in the coming days.
