Cicek holds official contacts in Bucharest

Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek yesterday held a joint press conference with President of the Representative Assembly of Romania Valeriu Stefan Zgonea in Romanian capital city of Bucharest. In response to reporters' questions on demonstrations to oppose the planned demolition of Gezi Park in Taksim, Cicek said that they supported all sorts of legal and legitimate protests, but opposed those who use methods of violence and force to demand their rights. For his part, Zgonea said, "Turkey has already proved to be a democratic country.
