Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek met with his Norwegian counterpart Dag Terje Andersen in the Turkish Parliament in Ankara on Tuesday.  Cicek said that both Turkey and Norway made efforts to make contributions to peace, and thus there was sound cooperation between the two countries. Cicek also said that Turkey appreciated Norway's support to Turkey's EU accession process. For his part, Andersen said that Norway hosted the efforts aimed at resolving international crises, like they do with regard to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), and that it was getting favorable results from them. "We enjoy close relations with Turkey as well. We would like to make contributions to this issue anytime," Andersen said. Andersen said that they were following Turkey's works on the new constitution and Norway would celebrate the 200th anniversary of its constitution in 2014.
