Costa Rican and Bavarian Ministers visit Ankara University

Foreign Minister of Costa Rican Enrique Castillo and Bavarian State Minister of Sciences, Research and Art Wolfgang Heubisch were on Wednesday hosted by Ankara University. Two ministers, who have arrived in Ankara to exchange views about academic cooperation and the Latin America Studies Research and Application Center (LAMER) of Ankara University, met with Rector of Ankara University Erkan Ibis. Following the meeting which was held at the rectorate building, Castillo and Heubisch attended a conference named "Latin America – Costa Rica" along with ambassadors of Argentine, Chile, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador and Cuba. Speaking on the sidelines of the meeting, Ibis said that Ankara University has made more than one hundred agreements worldwide including the Erasmus Program, and that the university hosted some 2,300 international students. Speaking for his part, Heubisch said that students both from Turkey and Bavaria would be able to be included in exchange programs thanks to the cooperation between the two countries.
