Costa Rican president pays visit to Turkey

Costa Rican President Oscar Arias yesterday arrived in Turkey at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul. Arias' visit to Turkey is the first on the presidential level from both Costa Rica and Central America in general, said the Presidential Press Center. Arias was awarded an honorary doctorate at Istanbul's Bahcesehir University yesterday. Following his contacts in Istanbul, Arias will proceed to Ankara and meet with Gul today.
