Crown prince of Abu Dhabi holds contacts with top officials in Ankara

Abu Dhabi's crown prince and deputy commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan on Tuesday had talks with top Turkish officials in Ankara upon an invitation from Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. President Abdullah Gul yesterday received Nahyan and hosted a lunch in honor of him at the Cankaya Presidential Palace which was also attended by Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz and Undersecretary of Defense Industry Murad Bayar. Afterwards, Nahyan was welcomed by Erdogan at his office in Ankara to hold a meeting which was closed to press. Reportedly, the agenda of meeting focused on issues related with finance and defense industries. During the meeting, Nahyan and Erdogan decided that Turkey and Dubai would make further cooperation in defense industry projects and increase cultural ties between the two countries.
