Culture Minister Gunay speaks on a new calculatıon method

Culture and Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay said yesterday that they were working in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) to renew the method for calculating tourism incomes. Speaking to Anatolia News Agency, Gunay said that they have been trying to turn Turkey into a country of mass tourism and attaching more importance to culture tourism for the last few years and started to obtain results. Stating that Turkey will receive more than 30 million tourists and the method for calculating tourism incomes will be renewed this year, Gunay said that people who don’t know the situation very well claim that tourism incomes are low despite an increase in the number of tourists.
