Speaking at a press meeting held with Luxembourger Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn yesterday, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu denied the allegations that Turkey would establish a buffer zone in Syria. "We will consider each issue to be taken along with the international society from now on. I have never used the expression ‘buffer zone' with regard to the issue. But we will take necessary steps again with the international society concerning humanitarian reasons in accordance with international legitimacy, just like we do with regard to the issue of refugees who take refuge in us," said Davutoglu. He added that Ankara had two criteria with regard to sanctions to be imposed on Syria, saying, "Firstly, we don't consider any restricting measure with regard to the water issue. Secondly, measures which are likely to create an impact on daily lives of ordinary citizens in Syria will not be taken by us."
