Davutoglu says international system about to fail Syria test

Speaking to Turkish reporters in a press briefing at the Turkish House in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that the UN and the international system were about to fail the Syria test and that human life could not be a matter of negotiation between the five permanent members of the Security Council. Davutoglu also criticized the Security Council severely of failing to adopt "a single binding resolution on Syria where more than 30 thousand people have been killed, over 50 thousand people have gone missing, more than 2 million people have been displaced and more than 500 thousand people have been refugees." Afterwards, Davutoglu asked then why we need the UN. Davutoglu also emphasized that the Syrian issue was coming closer to resembling the Bosnian crisis by the day.
