Davutoglu thanks Clinton for her statements
Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu yesterday held a phone conversation with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. According to information received from diplomatic sources, Davutoglu phoned Clinton to thank her for her statements regarding the adoption by the French Senate of a bill that criminalizes denial of Armenian allegations pertaining to the incidents of 1915. Reportedly, Davutoglu and Clinton also discussed developments in the Middle East and agreed to meet at the Munich Security Conference to be held early February. Clinton has said last Friday that trying to use government power to resolve historical issues opens a door that is a very dangerous one to go through.
