Davutoglu to attend Libya contact group meeting
Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will leave Istanbul today for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to attend a meeting of the NATO-backed Libya Contact Group, a coalition against Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, as the group seeks to accelerate the campaign to end his rule. Davutoglu is expected to hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the meeting tomorrow, according to diplomatic sources. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is also due to attend. The next meeting of the Contact Group will be held in Turkey, probably in the middle of next month at the earliest, since after this Sunday's general elections, time will be needed to establish a new Cabinet.
