Deligoz stresses importance of establishing a research commission at Federal Court

Ekin Deligoz of the Greens Party in Germany stated that a comprehensive campaign must be carried out against right-wing extremists in the country. Stating that a research commission should be established at the Federal Court to ensure that neo-Nazi killings are investigated, Deligoz said, "Nevertheless, it would be unrealistic to expect extreme right-wing attitudes to end in Germany with the establishment of such a commission. Within this framework, it's also important to strengthen non-governmental organizations which fight against extreme right-wing attitudes and to raise awareness across all generations about the dangers posed by such groups." Deligoz stated that ideally the National Democratic Party (NPD) should be closed down to ensure effective fight against extreme right-wing attitudes, adding, "It is certainly another unacceptable fact that groups with such racist ideologies as the NDP are under the protection of a legal party and that the physical dangers posed particularly against immigrants are getting further serious."
