Erdogan and Ahmedinejad discusses Syria during phone conversation
Turkish and Iranian leaders have discussed recent developments with regard to Syria after the world powers called Bashar al-Assad to step down. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad held a phone conversation yesterday afternoon. The issue that the leaders discussed was Syria and other regional developments. Iran and Turkey have been standing on opposite sides regarding the Syrian revolt as Tehran indirectly criticized Ankara for intervening in domestic affairs of its closest regional ally.
