Erdogan and Davutoglu in list of top 100 global thinkers
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu have been ranked the 28th among the Foreign Policy Magazine's Top 100 Global Thinkers list. Myanmar's opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi and the country's president Thein Sein were placed in the top spot. "Turkey under Erdogan's leadership has emerged as the Middle East's indispensable power, grappling with the region's struggles over identity and religion in a way no American politician ever could," the magazine said on its website, adding that Turkey's unique position, culture and history make the country "an ideal bridge between East and West."
