After Turkey stated that it wouldn't purchase natural gas from Russia through the Western Line as from 2012, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin broke the silence with a phone conversation yesterday.  Putin's spokesman Dmitriy Peskov said that energy cooperation between the two countries and natural gas delivery to Turkey through the Western Line were discussed in detail during the phone conversation between two prime ministers. Peskov added that a Turkish company, namely, Botaş decided not to renew the agreement on purchasing natural gas from the Western Line and thus it has become a current issue. "The issue of providing Turkey with natural gas through another company was also discussed in detail," Peskov said.
