Erdogan complains over Nabucco delays
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan yesterday complained about delays in in the Nabucco natural gas pipeline project. "We say we're ready for anything, but those doing the coordinating haven't come up with serious action," Erdogan told the Black Sea and Economic Forum organized by the Atlantic Council in Istanbul. Nabucco will carry Caspian natural gas to Europe via Turkey, and the consortium leading the project is trying to secure energy supplies and also financing. Erdogan decried the project's supply problems and underlined European Union support, saying, "The EU is supporting the project, but we're waiting for implementation."
