Speaking to reporters prior to leaving for his trip to Denmark, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the government was working over a formula involving "wise men," adding, "As the government, we are working on the issue of wise men. But we should not consider wise men individually. Wise men should represent institutions. The involvement of people representing NGOs, labor unions and businesspeople would positively affect the process. We are working on this issue." In response to a question about a possible pardon for prisoners from the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) with the introduction of the fourth judicial reform package, Erdogan said that the reform package had nothing to do with the issue and that no regulation or reform will take place as part of the negotiations. Erdogan also refuted claims that his government is concealing things related to the peace process. "When there is something that needs explanation, we will do so. Due to the sensitivity of the process, we speak less and make few statements. Nobody should interpret this as our concealing something from the nation. These things will be explained when times comes," Erdogan noted.
