Erdogan holds Gez, talks with a group of 11 people
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan yesterday met with a group of 11 people consisting of artists, academics and students regarding the Gezi Park protests. The group included Ahmet Mumtaz Taylan (actor), Betul Tanbay (spokesperson of Taksim Platform, but participating on her behalf), Hale Ciraci (urban planner), Kutlug Ataman (director), Nil Eyuboglu (student), Rumeysa Kiger and Selva Gurdogan (architects) Zehra Oney (social media specialist), Zulfikar Kurum (publisher), Ipek Akpinar (academic) and Bulent Peker (supporter of Justice and Development Party, who have written a critical letter to Erdogan). During the meeting in Ankara, Interior Minister Muammer Guler, Environment and Urban Minister Erdogan Bayraktar, Tourism and Culture Minister Omer Celik and Justice and Development Party (AKP) deputy leader Huseyin Celik were also present. The four-and-a-half-hour meeting was closed to the press.
