Erdogan meets Schroder

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan yesterday held a dinner meeting with Germany's former Prime Minister Gerhard Schroder. The face-to-face meeting with Schroder who has strongly supported Turkey's EU membership bid during his term of office was closed to the press and lasted for more than two hours. Erdogan has previously expressed his positive opinions about Schroder in a special interview to the Time magazine as part of his contacts at the 66th session of the UN General Assembly in New York last week.
