Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke to a group of reporters about the recent reform package after President Abdullah Gul's address at the plenary session of the Parliament. In reply to a question regarding the expectations of certain groups, Erdogan said the package was designed in a way that would respond to all expectations. "All faith communities in our country have their own expectations. Our statement that beliefs of all faith groups will be guaranteed without any kind of discrimination relates to all groups: Alevis, Sunnis, Christians, Jews," Erdogan said, adding that renaming of Nevsehir University as Haci Bektasi Veli University was a significant step in that sense. Erdogan also commented on the potential mayoral candidacy of cabinet ministers and a cabinet reshuffle, saying, "Everything is possible before the local elections."
