Ergun announces amount of incentives for SMEs

Science, Industry and Technology Minister Nihat Ergun announced a new package consisting of incentives totaling TL 3 billion tailored for the specific needs of Turkish SMEs. "In 2013, we will be able to support a great many of SMEs thanks to our new incentive mechanism. Our budget for 2013 about this issue amounts to TL 460 million. We will use TL 300 million of this amount for support payments," Ergun said. Stating that their support for entrepreneurs would continue in 2013 as well, Ergun said, "We might be able to enhance new support models with regard to the financing of SMEs. We will develop certain support mechanisms to focus on exports and growth and to expand and ensure activity in the domestic market."
