In a meeting of the EU-Turkey Association Council to be held today, Turkey will seek assurances for what Ankara calls an "acceptable and reasonable" roadmap for visa liberalization talks. According to a draft document obtained by the Zaman daily that details Turkey's position on EU accession talks, Turkey asks the EU to come up with a technical plan that is free from being hostage to the political considerations of some member states. During the meeting, Turkish delegation will be chaired by Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and the EU delegation will be chaired by EU's term president Ireland's Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Eamon Gilmore and European Commissioner for Enlargement Stephan Fule.
