Film director Akin honored in France

The French Culture Ministry yesterday decorated Turkish movie director Fatih Akin with the Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres medal. French Culture and Communication Minister Frederic Mitterand, in Berlin for the Berlinale international film festival, gave Akin the honor at a ceremony held at the French Embassy.
