FM Davutoglu: "Turkey is braced for a possible flood of Syrian refugees"
Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said yesterday Turkey is prepared to deal with a possible flood of Syrian refugees. Speaking to news channel NTV, he said that Turkey has worked to achieve a peaceful transition process in Syria, but lagging reforms are being outpaced by the growing violence. "We have taken all necessary precautions in case of a massive flow at the crossings," Davutoglu said. Implying that security controls are also needed for the refugees, he added, "We have to determine their intention [in] seeking refuge."
