Turkey has appointed a new representative at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) as part of the regular summer diplomatic reshuffle, the Foreign Ministry said yesterday. Outgoing Ambassador to Vienna Ecvet Tezcan has been named the country's permanent representative at the OECD. Ayse Sezgin, deputy undersecretary for European Union affairs, will replace Tezcan as ambassador to Austria. Vienna criticized Tezcan last November after he told a newspaper that Turkish immigrants to Austria have been "forced to establish ghettos."
