For EU bid, Bagis stresses role of cooperation

Turkey is entering an era in which there can be cooperation on its European Union accession, State Minister and chief EU talks negotiator Egemen Bagis said yesterday. Speaking with leaders of public institutions and organizations on the work that can be done during Sweden's current six-month EU term presidency, Bagis said that Swedish political parties support Turkey's membership and that Turkish parties support the Law on the Organization and Functions of the Secretariat General for EU Affairs now before Parliament. Bagis added that as we're entering an era in which we can work together on the EU issue, good use should be made of this situation.
