Foreign Minister of Kosovo expresses gratitude in exclusive interview
Foreign Minister of Kosovo Enver Hoxhaj who has traveled to Turkey upon the invitation of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to attend the Seb-i Arus ceremony in Konya has made special remarks to the Yeni Safak daily. Underlining that Turkey is one of the countries which has firstly recognized the independence of Kosovo, Hoxhaj thanked Turkey for its warm approach in the last five years. "Our historical relations with Turkey are based on friendship. In other words, we have a rooted tradition of relations. When I visit Ankara, I feel like at home. We share the same religion and same values," Hoxhaj said. Touching on the Syria issue, Hoxhaj said that Kosovo was disturbed and saddened by the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime, as it targets the civilian and innocent people. "We believe that Assad is similar to Milosevic, and Assad's current situation is not legal and thus he should transfer his power as soon as possible," Hoxhaj noted. Hoxhaj also invited Turkish businesspeople to Kosovo, indicating that his country offers significant opportunities to foreign investors.
