In a new bill, the Foreign Ministry is planning a major organizational restructuring to keep step with Turkey 's more active and multifaceted foreign policy of recent years. Information on the proposed legislation, posted on the Foreign Ministry website, underlines the need to revamp the ministry so it can adapt to the new conditions of the 21st century. It said this requires improving and diversifying the ministry's human resources both quantitatively and qualitatively. Stating that the ministry's current staffing falls short of its needs, it added that candidates with master's degrees in various areas would be recruited, and that the working conditions of career and administrative civil servants would be improved.
