Foreign tourists prefer Antalya and Istanbul for holiday

From January to July this year, 6 out of every 10 tourists who travelled to Turkey arrived in Antalya or Istanbul as their first destination in Turkey. Within the first seven months of the year, 19,143,152 foreign tourists visited Turkey. Among tourists from a multitude of countries including Germany, the US, New Zealand, Mexico and India; European nationals made up 53.5 percent of all tourists visiting Turkey in the first seven months of 2013. Within the period in question, the number of tourists coming from Europe increased by 3.73 percent in comparison to the same period of the previous year.
