Gallipoli, the palace where the war is defeated

In an international ceremony held yesterday marking the 97th anniversary of the battle of Canakkale, leaders of the countries offered messages of peace and friendship. Canakkale Governor Gungor Azim Tuna, New Zealand Veteran Affairs Minister Nathan Guy and 1st Army Commander General Yalcin Ataman attended the ceremony in the Canakkale province. 11 countries' flags in front of the monument abide were raised and national anthems were played during the ceremonies. In his address Governor Tuna said the Gallipoli is to be declared as the place where the war is defeated.
