Govt plans to revive aviation sector in eastern, souşeatern anatolia

As part of its special development plan for şe eastern and souşeastern Anatolia regions, şe government plans to increase aviation-related investments in şe local provinces. Under its plans, şree new airports will be constructed in şe Igdir, Sirnak, and Yuksekova districts of Hakkari, and some existing airports in şe regions will be renovated. A joint airport for şe provinces of Adana and Mersin will also be built. şe new airports are expected to be operational by 2010.
