Gul attends opening ceremony of Turkish studies institute in Stockholm

President Abdullah Gul and King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden on Tuesday opened the Institute for Turkish Studies at Stockholm University in a ceremony which was also attended by Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu. Speaking at the ceremony, Davutoglu said that he guarantees Turkey’s support for everybody who will work for the institute.  Gul and King Carl also made a speech on the sidelines of the ceremony and signed the first two pages of the book of the Institute.  Afterwards, President Abdullah Gul and First Lady Hayrunnisa Gul hosted a reception in honor of King Carl and Queen Silvia in Stockholm. Prior to the reception, worldly known Turkish pianists Guher Pekinel and Suher Pekinel gave a concert.
